Stephen Giddens was still a teenager when he joined Globe Life American Income Division (AIL) in 2011. “I started with the Company when I was 19 years old,” he recalls, “with very little work experience … mostly as a server at multiple restaurants while attending high school near Houston. But I knew Globe Life American Income Division was the right place for me because of its career track. “I was personally recruited into AIL by my brother, Ryan, who was also a Business Owner in Houston,” he continues. “Ryan had a high-school friend who was working at the Company and experiencing tremendous success. He invited Ryan in for an interview. After being hired, Ryan did the same for me.”
Is AIL the right place for Stephen? You bet! “My greatest accomplishment with AIL to this point is my contribution to the Greer Organization winning ‘Business of the Year’ in 2015. My role landed me the number one General Agent spot that same year,” he says.
What’s been most rewarding for Stephen since joining AIL? “In the beginning, the biggest reward came from providing excellent service to the working families we protect,” he states. “Later, that feeling was exceeded by watching my team accomplish great things for themselves and their families. If I could start over with AIL, I’d get into management and leadership much faster. I was a career Agent for two years before moving onto the management career track and experienced the highs and lows of every position in the Company. I’m uniquely qualified to be an Business leader because of personal experience.”
