In 2013, when Denis-Michael Catalano graduated from Louisiana State University with a business degree, he was ready for much more than his part-time job at Best Buy. “I graduated from LSU and didn’t have much, but I knew no matter what I did, I would be great at it. I just needed the chance to prove myself,” he recalls. “The manager at Globe Life American Income Life Division (AIL) who did my interview wore a solid gold ring with diamonds. I decided if he could get that working for American Income Division, so could I,” he adds.
“I’ve always had a passion for working with others, and working with a group of like-minded individuals always provides more productivity than working alone,” says Denis-Michael. “When I had the opportunity to become a business owner, I knew instantly it was what I wanted. It helps me give others the opportunity to show the world what they are worth. Having the ability to guide the next wave of leaders in this organization is an absolute privilege. Plus, I’ve had the opportunity to create the kind of lifestyle I want for myself, while helping others in the process,” he states.
What’s most rewarding about AIL? “I believe it’s the openness everyone shares. From CEO to Home Office staff, there is no shortage of knowledge and willingness to help. Plus, AIL does not cap or limit anyone’s success. Ensuring individuals have that opportunity is exactly what I want. Due to my character, integrity, and ability to achieve double-digit growth in several years, I’m uniquely qualified to be a business owner. My Organization knows we are not just coworkers here; we are family. We create a culture where people are both cared for and encouraged to attain greatness,” he stresses.
“AIL products give families options and hope in their darkest days. Losing someone with whom you built a life is never easy. Yet because of AIL, surviving family members know the bills will be paid, there will be food on the table, a roof over their head, and the education they deserve. Nothing can bring back the ones they’ve loved and lost, but I believe those loved ones would want remaining family members to live the best life possible,” affirms Denis-Michael.
What’s his advice if you’re considering an AIL career? “Do it,” he states emphatically. “Stop procrastinating and take the leap! Believe you are worth more and stop at nothing to achieve it. If I could start over, I would work smarter without ever questioning the process. When you follow the AIL system, you can’t fail. In my Organization, you’ll never be told what you are worth, but you will have the opportunity to self-determine your worth and become a six-figure income earner. If you believe in yourself and are willing to put in the work, we want to talk with you,” he adds.
Giving back to the community is vital to Denis-Michael. “St. Vincent de Paul’s work helping the homeless is something I’ve been involved with for years. My Organization supports its food bank throughout the year,” he states.
In his free time, Denis-Michael enjoys spending time with family and reading. Computers, technology and politics are high on his interest list, as is eating at any of the many excellent restaurants in New Orleans. He’s also a fan of the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans.
