After receiving her Master of Science degree from Mercer University in Atlanta in 2014, Rachel Brown worked in clinical mental health counseling, a natural progression for a member of the International Honor Society in Psychology while in college.
But Rachel shifted gears in 2016, when she joined Globe Life American Income Division (AIL). “I decided to work in insurance,” she recalls, “after seeing the success of a friend in the industry. I had AIL coverage myself, knew I was a hard worker, and that Globe Life American Income Division paid based on results. After attending a Company overview and learning more about AIL compensation and growth opportunities, I was sold,” she adds.
“I was always interested in becoming an Organization Owner. After gaining clarity on the responsibilities it entailed and realizing I was capable of or already doing those things, I was ALL IN! I welcome new challenges and look forward to the impact I have on people who work with me while achieving my own dreams,” states Rachel. “I’m qualified for Organization leadership because I realize building lasting, healthy relationships is critical to the success of any business. My energy, work ethic, and love for what I do make me a perfect fit for Organization ownership. I already have a wealth of knowledge about AIL systems and processes and always seek to know more. I take the initiative to learn what is needed to grow and keep up with the ever-evolving changes that contribute to a successful business,” she emphasizes.
Rachel is proud of the success and impact she’s already had with Globe Life American Income Division. “I’ve been in the top two in my Master General Agent (MGA) category and have had consistent year over year quarterly growth. But it’s the mentorship I’ve received along the way that’s the most rewarding aspect of joining the Globe Life American Income Division family,” she indicates.
Rachel personally appreciates the value of AIL products. “Our products protect people in their most vulnerable moments. I’ve seen this first hand with my own family. And the ease of the claims process is really the icing on the cake,” she adds.
What would Rachel change if she could restart her AIL career? “With the knowledge I have now, I would have worked harder to grow my team faster and more effectively in the beginning. I believe my Organization offers this area a tremendous opportunity in terms of career and sales potential. If you’re in leadership with Globe Life American Income Division, make sure it’s to help others as well as your personal career advancement. Be selfless, coachable, and immerse yourself in the AIL culture of leadership, where there is tremendous knowledge and wisdom waiting for you,” she asserts.
Making a positive community impact is important to Rachel. “Providing food for the hungry and helping reach the goal of curing cancer are near and dear to me,” states Rachel. She contributes to various initiatives that support cancer treatment and recovery and domestic abuse survivors.
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys reading (she leads a book club), time with family, traveling, and playing board games and cards. She’s also a fan of the Green Bay Packers.
