Mathew Hart, Business Owner in California, joined Globe Life American Income Division (AIL) in August 1999. Before he began his career with the Company he worked as a financial advisor at New York Life. Mathew was enticed to join AIL because of the products, the people, and the growth potential.
“I appeared as the Top Supervisor in the country one month and I couldn’t believe it. I went to Convention and realized, even though I was in a small market territory, I was as good as everyone else across the country. People in the community started to look up to me. I became responsible for helping protect families and providing jobs. What a great feeling! I was ‘all in’ so to say,” Mathew says about the moment he knew he’d made the right career choice with AIL.
Mathew knows he’s gotten to work with some great people and knows the best part of his career has been making others successful.
“I can relate to the entry level guy and show him a path to the top,” Mathew says.
To anyone considering a career with AIL Mathew says, “Successful people do things that unsuccessful people aren’t willing to do. Hang out with successful people and listen to your mentors. Challenge yourself to go outside your comfort zone. Work ethic is critical. No one can teach you determination; you have to be born with it.”
Mathew’s family is his number one priority, and he enjoys golf and sports. Mathew donates to the community and looks forward to being as successful with his philanthropic projects in California as he was previously in Ohio.
“Clients need our products more than we would ever need to sell them. Most people we talk to are one injury, accident, or death away from losing everything. They could lose their house, college plans, maybe even their retirement or life savings. We can help prevent additional loss after a life changing event occurs,” Mathew says.
