Micah Cohen got started in what had become a family business selling American Income Life products. He hit the field as an Agent, working his way up into management at the Cohen-Velasquez Office. He’s seen his family business grow from where it was 20 years ago to where it is now.

An expert in teamwork and leadership, US Air Force veteran Sean Velasquez quickly found his stride when he joined American Income Life (AIL) in 2011. Upon joining the Company, he put his leadership skills to use, and became the top performing MGA in Southern California for half a decade and promoted and developed 10 MGAs in five years.
 
Sean says he wanted to become an Agency leader to help the people AIL serves when they need it the most, and to exhibit his leadership skills while helping others with personal development. Through the years, he has seen success in leadership roles, and is a certified high performance coach with personal development trainer Brendon Burchard.
 
When asked about his team, Sean says, “They’re phenomenal people … a strong group of young, hungry adults – mom-preneurs and dad-prenuers. They have a great competitive camaraderie among them and a thirst for growth and knowledge.”
 
Sean’s Agency donates to two main local charities: My Friends House and Hope of the Valley. When Sean isn’t busy taking others under his wing, he enjoys weightlifting, reading, day trading, and watching movies. He is a Golden State Warriors and Dallas Cowboys fan, and loves listening to rock music and “anything inspiring.”
 
Sean’s advice to those considering a sales or leadership position is, “Find and spread the fun in what we do, and stay curious about your next level.”
