Matthew Turnquist graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in business. He worked as a professional hockey referee until 2009 when he joined Globe Life American Income Division (AIL). Matthew says, “I wanted to become an Organization leader for the opportunity to serve others by improving their lives, while also improving the lives of my family.”
Joining the Company enticed Matthew because of the “management opportunity and stable industry,” he says. Matthew believes the rewarding part of his career is “the legacy we have built in our Organization and having the opportunity to better myself and so many others.”
What is Matthew’s greatest accomplishment with AIL? He says, “Being able to help and mentor so many people that have now changed their lives with this Company.”

Matthew’s free time is spent with his family, which includes two boys. He also plays golf and hockey, and follows sports teams such as the Colorado Buffaloes, Colorado Avalanche, and Denver Broncos. In his community, Matthew coaches youth hockey and is involved with causes that help support disabled veterans.
