Before Stephen Jubrey joined National Income Life in October 2007 he was a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He became a Master General Agent within a year and was a year-to-date award winner for 2008, 2009, and 2012 production. Stephen represented NILICO until his 2013 promotion to Business Owner in Texas with American Income Life.
Stephen was enticed to join the Company because he was financially motivated. He had student loans to pay and no career prospects unless he furthered his education.
To Stephen, the most rewarding part of his career has been watching his Agents grow professionally and personally to become successful managers.
“Our products are beneficial because they give the average working family affordable coverage and are designed for their needs. Agents meet with families in a comfortable place at a convenient time. We spend time breaking down plans individually so clients are comfortable with their purchase,” Stephen says.
Stephen knew his career decision was right when he went on vacation for the first time as a General Agent. Stephen had a team of Agents back home that worked so hard while he was gone, he had a $1,100 check waiting for him when he returned. Stephen knew working hard would pay off and he was extremely motivated.
To anyone considering a career with AIL Stephen says, “You get out of this what you put into it. Plug into the systems and listen to the people more successful than you. You can go as far as you’re willing to.”
Stephen was smart enough to realize that he didn’t have all the answers and surrounded himself with the people who did. He always sought those people out for advice and guidance.
In Stephen’s free time you can find him with his girlfriend and their German Shepherd, watching or playing sports, working out, and being active!
