After attending the University of Buffalo, where he majored in business, Andrew Wagner ran his own call center for several years. But in 2012, when he was personally recruited to join American Income Life Insurance Company (AIL), he enthusiastically made the transition.
“I came from a sports background and owned my own company prior to joining American Income Life,” recalls Andrew. “The ability to lead a team from the front at AIL, while being rewarded professionally and financially, was the perfect fit for me. And that personal, professional, and financial growth has been what’s most rewarding about being part of this great Company. I have the work ethic necessary for greatness and a ‘first one in and the last one out’ mentality. I lead by example in all areas … production, training, recruiting, and leadership development,” he continues.
Andrew takes tremendous pride in his many accomplishments with American Income Life. “I was AIL’s number six Master General Agent in 2017. I hold numerous weekly and monthly sales records. I’ve been listed in Spotlight
magazine at every level: Producer, Supervising Agent, General Agent, Master General Agent, and Regional General Agent,” states Andrew. “I’ve won contests, facilitated multiple promotions to Master General Agent, addressed leadership school attendees, qualified for multiple Company Sales Conventions, and filed the largest claim in the history of National Income Life Insurance Company,” he adds.
Would Andrew change anything if he could restart his AIL career? “I would have focused on quality of business sooner in my career. This isn’t a ‘dip your toes in the water’ business, so if you’re considering a sales or leadership position with American Income Life, you need to do a cannonball,” he emphasizes.
Andrew possesses a strong belief in AIL products and their value to Agents and customers. “I believe my Business offers the opportunity to Agents to grow personally, professionally, and financially by offering outstanding products that help families when they need it most. It’s a real opportunity for you to gain financial freedom,” he stresses.
Community involvement is crucial to Andrew. “I love giving back to cancer and hospice charities, because I have lost many of my closest relatives to that terrible disease. I also donate time and money to the American Red Cross, as one of my closest friends has a sister who utilizes that organization,” he states. “As our Company founder would say ‘If you take from the community, you must give back to the community, ‘. We do exactly that! With our extensive locally run food bank, we serve the members of our community who need it most. Plus, we are involved in other local charity work,” he adds.
“I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and we have a daughter and son. I’ve been privileged to work in two of the best Businesses in the Company … the Simon Arias Agency when I was initially recruited, and later in the Durhon Oldham Business. In my free time, I enjoy working out at the gym, playing and watching sports, reading, and spending time with my family,” he emphasizes,
