“My Dad has been the best example of how to be a man, how to run a business, and has molded me into the person I am today,” states Joshua West. That guidance helped direct Josh to a successful career with American Income Life Insurance Company (AIL).

“After graduating from the University of Mount Union in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in education,” he recalls, “I took a short-term sales job before getting licensed with AIL in 2014. One of my best friends, Tucker Gregor, who is also with American Income Life, told me this would be one of the best decisions I would ever make, and I trusted him. He was right,” adds Josh.

“My greatest accomplishment so far with American Income Life has been the opportunity to expand my business into Indianapolis and become an Business Owner,” continues Josh. “What’s been the most rewarding about joining AIL is the opportunity to mentor and develop people, not only on a business level, but also on a personal level, and to be able to support my family and become financially independent,” he says.

I am also very involved with the Medina County Special Olympics in Medina, Ohio. I am originally from Ohio and have been a sponsor of its coed summer softball teams for the last three years,” he adds.

Keep your circle small and don’t forget where you came from. If I could start over with AIL, the only thing I would do differently is get better at recruiting earlier in my career. Recruiting is the key to success,” he states.

In his free time, Josh enjoys spending time with his fiancé, traveling, watching sports, and philanthropy.

Travis Moody, Business Owner of Indiana, realized that a career with American Income Life Insurance Company was the right decision for him less than a year after contracting with the Company. A 2005 graduate of Ohio University, Travis was enticed to join AIL due to the high income potential, and just 11 months later he purchased his first home.

In 2006, Travis was in the Top 10 Master General Agents in the Company. If he could do it all over again, he wouldn’t change a thing about his career path with AIL.

In his free time, Travis enjoys hunting and boating. He also participates in and donates to the Special Olympics and Ohio University athletics.

Mohamed Shogar earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 2016, from Texas Tech University.  After graduation, ‘Mo’ worked for Sewell Cadillac in Houston before he joined American Income Life Insurance Company (AIL) in 2019.  “While working for Sewell, I had many clients from the insurance industry, and they all had the financial freedom I was chasing,” he recalls.  “I left Sewell and moved to Indiana, where I interviewed with several insurance companies.  I was sold on American Income Life after my second interview.  AIL is fantastic and the culture it creates is exactly what I was looking for.  The rest is history,” he explains.

Mo’s career is an outstanding example of the ‘Opportunity Unlimited’ AIL offers.  “When I joined the West Agency of American Income Life it was new, and I was privileged to join the leadership team shortly thereafter.  We always pushed for growth and opportunities to aid our Agents, and our growth was phenomenal in less than four years.  I’m tremendously proud of opening two satellite offices in two years in two different states,” Mo states.  “Establishing this Charlotte Agency is a great opportunity to expand into an amazing city and state and further promote AIL’s unrivaled ‘Opportunity Unlimited’.  If I could restart my AIL career, the only thing I would change would be to have found American Income Life 10 years earlier,” he adds.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of Mo’s AIL career?  “It’s the ability to impact and change peoples’ lives on both a personal and professional level.  We do it for our customers by providing financial protection in times of extreme stress and anxiety.  For our Agents, we take our time-tested systems and procedures from the West Agency and transplant them to North and South Carolina.  With the mindset of a Master General Agent (MGA), I’m creating an opportunity to build a new team in a new area, but with the same attitude of relentless growth that I’ve always pursued,” affirms Mo.

What’s Mo’s advice to those joining the AIL team?  “Do not hesitate!  Dive in, head first!  Have an open mind; be extremely coachable; have a positive attitude; and bring a determined work ethic.  If you step into leadership, do it with a servant leadership attitude.  Everything rises and falls on leadership,” he stresses.  “I’m excited to bring AIL’s ‘Opportunity Unlimited’ to this area.  I truly believe American Income Life offers the best training system in the industry.  We invest heavily in our Agents.  In addition to providing world-class products through AIL, we donate and volunteer with various causes and charities within the community.  Previously, I worked with Habitat of Humanity and my local mosque to provide meal services to the needy and supported Special Olympics and high school volleyball teams,” adds Mo.

“As far as free time, I’m a bit of a workaholic.  I enjoy sports, though, and definitely follow the Charlotte Hornets and Panthers.  My wife, Nora, and I love spending time outdoors with our dogs, a German Shepard and Chocolate Lab, and enjoy hiking and traveling.  Having played intermural soccer in college, I now enjoy playing adult league soccer,” says Mo.
