Sometimes, life takes you to many stops before you reach your destination. Sergio studied international business at Escuela Nacional de Administration y Hacienda Pública (ENAHP) in Caracas, Venezuela. He worked in restaurants, the customer service industry, and even as an event promoter before he started his career with American Income Life Insurance Company (AIL). In 2018, he joined the Company and is now able to help people across the nation. “Being the leader of an Agency allows me to expand the unlimited opportunity of AIL to new territories and fulfill my purpose of being able to help many more people nationwide,” Sergio says.
Growth was a major factor in Sergio’s decision start a career with AIL. “The opportunity of growing professionally and financially enticed me to join the Company,” he explains. “The rewarding part of my career is knowing I don’t have limits when it comes to growing.”
What are Sergio’s greatest accomplishments with Globe Life? “My greatest accomplishments so far are being Top 3 Supervising Agent in 2018, Top 3 Master General Agent in 2019 and 2020, and a winner for both 101 Leadership Academy and 201 Leadership Academy,” he says.
Choosing the Company was easy for Sergio. “Our products help guarantee that people will leave a legacy to their families in case an unexpected situation comes,” Sergio says. His advice to those considering a leadership position within the Company is to focus and prepare. “Focus more on the process than the results, prepare yourself every day, and don’t look for instant gratification. Look for long-term results.”
Sergio enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends. He also enjoys sports. “I like soccer, basketball, and baseball. I follow FC Barcelona, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Texas Rangers,” he says. In the community, helping Latin immigrants is near to Sergio’s heart. He explains, “I support Latin immigrants who come here and haven’t been able to adapt to the American system.”
