As a woman professional, Iris believes she brings something to the table as an Organization leader. “We are in an industry that needs more female leaders – strong role models that can give hope and inspire other women that we, too, can be Organization leaders for an insurance company,” she says. Iris also believes that as the Hispanic population grows, being a Hispanic woman gives her the opportunity to help these two markets and provide growth to her Organization.
 
Since joining AIL, Iris feels that her greatest accomplishment has been her ability to help change the financial situation of the agents that are part of her team. As a single mother of two, she also takes pride in being able to make sure her children are well provided for. “I had to push through adversity, all on my own,” she says. “I pushed through college and through raising two kids by myself. I’m sharing my story as testimony that opportunity is unlimited with AIL if you spread your wings without fear. You can accomplish anything you want if you have belief without fear.”
 
Though Iris notes that her priority right now is her business, she loves hiking, skydiving, and traveling when she has the time. She also loves reading about other cultures and trying different types of food. “I believe you can get to know people through their food,” she says. Above everything else, Iris loves being with her family.

After earning his B.S. degree in industrial engineering, from Alcorn State University in Lorman, Mississippi, Thomas Longino became a small business owner.  Eventually, however, he was ready for a career change.  “I did research about renewals and long-term growth potential,” says Thomas, “and decided to follow my own philosophy of ‘don’t be afraid to take a leap of faith.’  I took that leap and joined Globe Life American Income Division (AIL) in 2013,” he recalls.

“Because I have a true passion and commitment to developing a new group of leaders, I wanted to be an Organization leader to expand the AIL opportunity to others like myself.  I consider my efforts at personal recruiting to be my greatest accomplishment at AIL, because it forced me out of my comfort zone to bring the AIL opportunity to others,” states Thomas. “Growth at Globe Life American Income Division is truly unlimited and has been the most rewarding aspect of joining this great Company,” he adds.

Thomas has a variety of interests outside of work that include jogging, investing, reading, and deer hunting.  He also is a fan of the New Orleans Saints and the Houston Rockets and relishes a good meal of Texas BBQ or Cajun cuisine.
