Before joining American Income Life Insurance Company (AIL) in 2011, Samantha Ralston was waiting tables and a fulltime student at the University of Central Arkansas. Majoring in Marketing, she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the university the same year.
“I became acquainted with American Income Life at a career fair during my final semester at college and was intrigued by the advancement opportunity. I knew if promotions depended on how much work I put in, my growth opportunities would truly be unlimited,” she recalls.
Was it the right decision for Samantha? Absolutely! “I realized quickly a policy from American Income Life can make someone’s life easier during one of their most challenging times. We offer families the ability to mourn their loved one without the strain of financial worry,” she states. “The most rewarding aspect of my AIL career, however, is seeing how unlimited income can positively impact someone’s life. I have watched myself and others have the ability to end generational debt and build an income that provides for my family and theirs for years to come. I’m proud of what I’ve achieved … being named Regional General Agent (RGA) after only 16 months with the Company, being fully vested, and earning several personal recruiting awards. I only wish I had started my AIL career sooner,” she adds.
Why did Samantha want to be a business owner? “I want to share the AIL vision and opportunity with more people. I want others to have the same opportunity I’ve had to change my life and the lives of those around me. I feel uniquely qualified for this position because there isn’t a part of our business I’m not willing to take on. Plus, I’ve always had a hands-on approach when it comes to leadership. I don’t just want to tell team members how to do things. I want to show them the way,” she stresses.
What’s Samantha’s advice when you join the AIL family? “Make it your goal each day to do better than the day before,” she emphasizes. “Our Agency also can offer you a career with flexibility. Working remotely allows parents the ability to work fulltime without having to afford fulltime child care. In addition, you can make a difference in your community. My Agency routinely contributes to our city and region through an active food bank that distributes to local drives. Personally, I also support Princess Nora’s Warrior Foundation, a nonprofit organization fighting for a cure for childhood cancer,” Samantha says.
Free time for Samantha is generally family time. “As a mom of two, my personal time typically consists of karate practices and soccer games. We love spending as much quality time together as possible and also enjoy camping, hiking, and visiting parks. I love doing anything outdoors, and one of my favorite past times is wakeboarding,” she admits. “I’m also a big college and professional football fan, especially of the Arkansas Razorbacks. My whole family also enjoys hanging out with our two big dogs, Jagger and Ripley,” she adds.
