With a major in economics, Mark Beckford graduated from Queen’s College in New York in 1995, earning a Master of Science degree. When he joined Globe Life American Income Division (AIL) in 2007, he transitioned from a successful 12-year career at Tiboro, Inc., a 50-million-dollar retailer of consumer staples, where he served as CFO.
What brought Mark to AIL? “It was the opportunity to earn residual income,” recalls Mark. “I wanted to become a Business Owner to serve the people of South Carolina and to recruit and develop people who have the same passion and vision I have. I feel I’m uniquely qualified to be an Business leader because I have a desire for excellence and a winning and grateful attitude,” he continues.

Absolutely! “What’s most rewarding about joining AIL is the numerous people I directly affected over the years and the lives changed in so many ways. It was a great accomplishment being named a State General Agent in 2010, and being a March Madness NIT Champion in 2012 as an SGA,” he states proudly.

Giving back to the community is the foundation of the Globe Life American Income Division philosophy. “We feed the poor and homeless through Cooperative Ministry and Family Promise, support food drives, make financial donations to various organizations, and sponsor a turkey drive for Thanksgiving and a toy drive at Christmas,” says Mark with pride.
In his free time, Mark enjoys reading and following professional and college sports, whether basketball, football, baseball, or soccer. But when he plays himself, it’s generally tennis. His goal is to start a foundation in Jamaica for young kids.
